What we do
PlanetHub seeks to be an affordable solution to open a pathway into the Sustainability market for SMEs to enable a wave of change at all levels of the economy.
Who are we
PlanetHub is a startup consultancy service run by Claire Hamilton and supported by a trusted network of collaborators.
Meet Claire
Claire has been working in highly regulated FMCG manufacturing for 15 years as an Engineer. Her work has been increasingly focused on moving from increasing profitability only to increasing profitability and sustainability.

Claire has an exceptional talent with data; where to find it, how to understand it and what to do with it.

Claire started PlanetHub after having to go through several CDP restatement processes and realising she could produce higher quality work in a fraction of the time compared to other consultancy firms. Claire believed she could offer a more reasonably priced service to help others do what the larger enterprises were doing.

Claire lives ten minutes away from the natural beauty of the Peak District in South Yorkshire.
She lives with her partner, twin daughters, an excitable dog and a guinea pig.

When Claire isn't working she likes to travel around the local area, cook traditional Japanese cuisine and practice languages and coding.

Claire became invested in providing Sustainability solutions when her daughters' were born, committing to them she would ensure the world would be a better place for them.

Education & Experience
Claire has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering which she has held since 2013. She is currently finishing her Master's of Science in Engineering which will be complete in 2026.
The first role started back in Coty Manufacturing Ltd in a Continuous Improvement post as a Year In Industry that "got out of hand" and landed her her first professional role over two years instead. She presided over an average month OEE improvement of 12% through strategic line and MOQ restructuring.

From there she moved across to Reckitt Benckiser who she stayed with for over five years. Reckitt's was her introduction to regulation, being a mixed FMCG pharmaceutical company which made everything from Dettol to Buprenorphine injectables. In this role she handled Water for Injection and Pure Steam generation, CDM sites, powder processing, bottling and CIP systems, to name a few.

Next she went into Coopervision, a contact lens manufacturing company, one of the most technically demanding roles she has held. Some of Claire's successes while still working in manufacturing included full shop floor revalidation, technical assignments for regulatory evidences and design and development of single order project collation machines. From there she was awarded a lot of opportunities, one being the development of Sustainability at Coopervision. Within this role she was central to the methodology development and execution of Scope 3 data collection and projections, along with project measurements, technical and communication literature and packaging redesigns. Towards the end of the four years working exclusively on this subject Claire gained a reputation as the go-to person for Global information relating to any and all Sustainability and ESG related subjects.
